VODIK Announces Partnership with VideoPros
San Diego, September 27, 2008 –VODIK announced today a partnership with VideoPros. (http://www.videopros.com). VideoPros offers professional videographers a video hosting, streaming and content management system. VODIK UPDATE: Video and the Economy
The doom and gloom with the economic forecasts can depress you. The headlines seen in the media and more recently, the political campaigns, can make you think dangerous times are ahead.
We at VODIK see things slightly different. We see a brighter future. Now to be specific, these economic shortfalls do exist and do affect certain industries. By no means is this entry suggesting you to make financial decisions one way or the other – however this blog entry shows our perspective and that of our clients making purchasing decisions for video production.
In uncertain times, certain sneaky smart organizations see an opportunity…an opportunity to communicate to people seeking a different perspective. VODIK does see retailers, small businesses, and other organizations using the lows in the economic confidence to get ahead. Not all organizations loose money during difficult economic headlines. A plethora of companies PROFIT and profit big!
So you can lock down resources, freeze budgets, and hide – but the smart organizations buy the new media technology to get ahead. These economic lows don’t last, and when everything is back in the green, you want to be ahead in the game.
But this is only our perspective the decision is yours but we are trying to suggest an alternative perspective.

Video Staffing Can Get Complicated
….What? Really? Not with VODIK!
Ok, the title was a little misleading, actually we are writing to tell you otherwise.
Consider this – A company needs to produce 5 videos, each in a different city. They also need to have a graphic introduction edited for each of these videos. Managing the process from a central operation with phones and a few editors sounds complicated, right?
Here is VODIK’s situation.
We have over 3,000 amazing videographers to pull from. That’s right, over 3,000!!! Each of these videographers uses our unique staffing and production software that coordinates their involvement and role in the projects.
So returning to our previous example, our client would get access to their monitoring dashboard which would tell them the status of their project and provide a communications module to each of the staff members associated with their video need.
The fact is it can get complicated if the following situations occur during a production:
1. Delayed or lack of response from client.
2. Canceled shoot dates within safety time-frame
3. Lack of preparedness
